About Me

I started this site to tie together the different projects I’m involved with. Here, you’ll find insights into my professional journey and my commitment to advancing the legal industry through technology. Eventually, I also hope to share a glimpse into my personal interests and passions.

Law Practice

In my law practice, I act mostly as a strategist, leveraging my background in tax law and extensive experience in asset protection, estate planning, and business structuring. My interdisciplinary approach ensures comprehensive and tailored solutions for my clients.

In the LegalTech space, I am passionate about using technology to make legal services more efficient and accessible. I focus on developing new business models that help attorneys deliver services more effectively, despite challenges from big LegalTech companies and AI.

Legal ethics rules are not keeping pace with technological progress. Enforcement of the unauthorized practice of law rules is often handled by volunteers at state bar associations that lack the resources to successfully challenge LegalTech startups that are well-backed by private equity (which lawyers cannot access due to the restrictions against fee-splitting with non-attorneys).

The LegalTech challenge also affects clients, who might be misled by aggressive marketing into thinking non-attorney solutions are sufficient, potentially missing out on critical legal advice. Too often, clients don’t realize how little value they are receiving; to them, it’s all just words on paper.

My work in the LegalTech space aims to balance this disparity by advocating for better integration of technology while preserving the essential role of skilled attorneys.
